Home is where the heart is...

So we have been in our house for about 6 months and we love it! These are some pictures from when we first moved in, so the house looks a little different, but close enough.

My Lack of Skills

I feel the need to apologize for my lame blog! I hate the layout of the next post, but that was all I could do. At least I got some things posted! Just wanted to explain my lameness!

My Birthday Weekend!

I can't believe I just turned 26! But, I must say that I have had a good year! I especially had a great weekend! On Friday I learned that I have a job next year, what a blessing! Then, we had a lil' b-day party at my parents. It was way fun. I seriously have some of the best friends! I am so thankful for all of them! On Saturday, my actual birthday, I totally wasn't feeling great! So, I slept in then Kyle and I decided to go and look at houses (thanks to Ashley and Randy getting us all excited!). After that we went to dinner with Kyle's family. On Sunday, we went and looked at houses again, but with Julie and Troy this time, and we actually put some money down to take a house off the market, yikes! When we got home we had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Taylor for Grandma's and my birthday. Then later that evening we met up with a lot of the family because Clay, Kyle's little brother, was becoming an Elder. It was so awesome how many members of the family were able to make it (some even drove an hour for the quick ordination!) It was so great to see how Clay was acting all day. He is an awesome kid with a bright future! We love you Clay! Keep up the good work!
So, now it's Monday and well, we put money down on another house! It was a crazy day. My parents were back from Hawaii so we took them to go and see the first house we put money down on. (Oh yeah, poor Chad was dragged along with us! It was fun to have him, but I felt bad for him!) Next, we drove around and looked at a variety of other houses. We went to the other side of the freeway which turns out to be a lot cheaper. So we looked at a couple houses from Pardee, the same builder of the house we put the money down on. These houses were just as nice, but cheaper! So, we were a little confused about what we should do because Kyle really liked the neighborhood of the first house. THEN, we drove around some more and ended up at the KB office. We toured the models, learned we could build the house to our preferences, pick our lot, and it would be ready in 4 to 5 months. We fell in love with the floor plan and the price and then put money down on that house! Craziness. I think we will end up taking the KB home. But...we'll see!

Overall, I am so grateful for my amazing family and friends. Thank you to everyone who remembered me on my b-day and helped to make it that much better! I am so blessed!

Heartbroken..............

So, I am totally torn! That adorable puppy I introduced you all to, is now no longer ours! At least for the time being. So, we got Tazzy about a month ago and she has been sick ever since! We were going crazy and spent way too much money at the vet for her to not be getting better. We were working with the breeder and she gave us the option to return the puppy.

So, after much debate, we figured it was best. Kyle was stressing everyday and it wasn't helping his health. So, today I am all alone and sad that I don't have the puppy to keep me happy. We are going to see how the puppy is in a couple weeks and decide if we want to try again. I don't know what to do!!! She is so cute and fun, but also a ton of work. What would you do?

Life.........

I'm sitting in class right now being a bad student. This blogging and facebook stuff is really going to get me in trouble with my schoolwork! Oh well...

I just wanted to take a minute to follow Ashley's lead and write what I am thankful for because these last few weeks have been a challenge. Kyle has been sick forever and school and work have been overwhelming, BUT...

I am grateful for...

-my job
-chemotherapy (even though it stinks, Kyle is still here and will be here for awhile)
-our home
-the Gospel
AND............
-family and friends

It is so important for me to remember the MANY blessings that the Lord has blessed me with especially when the trials of life begin to weigh me down. I truly am blessed.

Finally!

Okay, so I finally started a blog! But, don't expect too much from me! I'm a total slacker. I am only doing this because it's Saturday afternoon and I was sick yesterday and am still recovering today so...I am bored! If I can figure this stuff all out, I will probably do updates when I am supposed to be doing homework or other important things that I don't want to do! I also figured that I look at everyone else's blogs, so I should return the favor. We don't have any fun kids to share, but we do have a puppy now! And let me tell you, she is a handful. We are practicing the middle of the night wake-ups and poop and pee clean-ups that our future children will bless us with now because Tazzy is a handful.
